He was oue of the judges of impolite men ts at the fist Northern A. 6P. Show. He won 3 prizes for Eng. Leic. sheep at that show and 2 first prizes for pigs . There wild be all Judge Gressons sheep. , He was elected a member of the Ch.Ch. Club in 75. He was advertising for a contractor to plough 300 ac between Coles Farm + Higgins 's Run on the Moeraki Downs, Aug. 68: He was elected to the Mandeville. Rang. Rd. Bd. when Marmaduke Dixon resigned cap .69. Reynell, Judge Gresson , de Bourbel and C.C Bowen formed a syndicate and bought 120 ac on the Peninsular in McQueen Valley behind Gebbies Farm . A prospecting rage had seized Canty at this time and all sorts of likely and unlikely places were being searched for gold There was a quartz reef in this land and Dr Hector had said that it was certain to contain gold. The reef was opened up and a good deal of money was spent but there was w gold there.
