Smith who dropped out early He started an Assembly Hall next to the Golden Fleece for dances, entertainment eta. in Jan 65. It was to open with the arrival of the Governs , Sir Geo. Gray , but he did not come . It was called Canty. Hall. He succ ceded J.P. Oakes in Mar. 65 as licensee of the Golden Fleece re was on the verge of bankruptcy May 6 He was on the Comm. of the Ch.
