He was elected to fill a vacancy on the Riccarton Rd. Bd. Oct. 74. He was elected to the Harewood Rd. Sch. Comm. Ap. 76 . He was a director of the Papanui Sale yards Comm. June '76. His land on the Harewood Rd was offered for sale . but most of it did not reach the reserve , June '78. He later moved to Bracken field, Riccarton. marr.
