Marks/Inscriptions: G. 8a 520 Guy , William John (1857 -1920) was the son of Mathew Guy of Co Armas and came out with his parents in the Queen of the Mersey arriving 19.10.6 . His father took up land at Templeton and he worked there till 1'82 when he bought a farm of his own at Yaldhurst. He lived there till well on in 1900 and then bought a fam at Fornside His Yaldhurst farm was of 180 ac. of good land. He was A member and chairman Templeton Rd. Bd. He was for 18 years member and chairman of the Yaldhurst Sch. comm. and also a member of the Templeton Domain Bd. and Riccarton ic. Comm. marr. '77 Alice Clark.
