Anglican Church of St Michael and All Angels, Corner of Litchfield Street and Oxford Terrace Christchurch. The first church to be built on the plains by the Anglican settlers was on this site, St Michael and All Angels’ congregation soon outgrew the original building and it was replaced by this building designed by Crisp / Strouts in the Gothic Revival style. It served as the Pro-Cathedral whilst the stone building in Cathedral Square was being erected
