Marks/Inscriptions: H. 193 Harper, John Albert (1 -1923) was born at Resell Bay of Islands , Jan. '45 and was the son of John Harper of Coburn St. Auck. He arrived at Ch.Ch. in '65 and was employed by Cobb t o as a blacksmith. Later he joined J.B.White in his smithy where the Ruk Stables were later established.
