He edited the S. Canty Times . He had worked as a journalist at Nap ies . He joined the Timaru Herald n 79. At the time of his death he had retired but was still contributing to the paper. He was known as a join alist throughout N.Z. He d. at his house Timaru. He was much interested in the history + geology of the dist and was of the opinion that a seal rookery had once existed hedr Mutu mutu S. of Timaru. sons Harry of Wgtn Evening Post.
