Marks/Inscriptions: H. 132 Hanna, Robert Hayes (1846 -1904) was a grocer and general storekeeper of Rangiora and moved into new premises next to the Junction Hotel Nov. '7 . He was elected Capt. of No1. engine when the Rang . Fire Bde. was 1e- organised May '74. He announced that he was leaving Rang. Oct. 80 and after his office would be at Watt. + o's , Victoria St. Ch.Ch. (head marred a da of McGregor Watt) at the time of his death he was a traveller for Ross and Glendinning and was living at the Commercial Hotel separated from his wife. marr. at the home of McGregor Watt Ch.Ch. by Rev . F.w . McGregor asst. by Rev . F.A. Douglas Alice, 3' dau John Richard , 24 . Fernside 10.3.75. she d. 20. 12.11 ag. 61 He d. Hereford St Linwood 20.1.04 ag 59 He shot himself.
