Marks/Inscriptions: G. 154a Gilchrist. Jack lived for years in the boundary hut in Jacks block a long narrow section running back From the Amuri into Cheviot Co. which was part of the original St. Leonard s block . The boundary hut was the ie eastern St. Leonardo boundary hut. It was in good order until iI was pulled down for the sake of the roofing won in 1927 . Jack block was part of the St Leonardo blood known as the Hermitage ought by Geo Gould Junr in part. with his brother mn low R.M. Macdonald in about 1902 In 1910 they drew lots after cutting the place on half and G.G. drew the block which ran over the top o f the hill into the Amiri. He improved it by buy ing part of Mt Palm and adding it to what he already had thereby gaming a good cattle swart and extra plough ble land. R.M. haldon ald had a day road put in from Ethel ton Rly station to rive him access and built a mens quarters and cookhouse and stable. His son G.R.
