Marks/Inscriptions: 8G.511 Guntrip, John (1840 -1916) was born 6.11.40 . He was a gardener and came out in '65. He lived at Fendalton. He won numerous prizes at the Ho tic. Sh ow Feb. '69. He was sexton at the C. of E. Cemetery, Barbadoes St. Oct. 79. He rang No 4. bell 1. 11.'81 when the Cathedral was consecrated. He was an enthusiastic Odd fellow and was Noble Grand in '78 and P.G. M in '89. He arrived by the 24 Saul Huntress 24.4.63 marr. (1 Mary . She d. 3.7.72 ag. 35 (2) Sarah Prudence Mundy 26.8.75. He described himself as Sexton in the Marr. Reg. She d. 15.1.03 at the Ch.Ch. Hop. ag. '68. He d. 4.12.'16 ag. 76 at home of his son-in-law R.J.Chegwin. 2' son Wm. James marr. 16.10.05 Florie , 3' dau. Alex Prince Ch.Ch. 3' dau.
