Marks/Inscriptions: G. 987 Gee . Thomas James (183 - 74 was born at St. James's, London 16. 12.37 He was a builder and contractor and arrived in Ch.Ch in 64. He took up a very jod Small Grazing Run at Cheviot. Two of his sons succeeded him there and he returned to Ch. Ch. marr. Eliza - in 67 He d. Grafton St. Ch.Ch. 20.4.11 ag. 74 s sons 4 daus. wife Eliza d. at Cheviot 27.11.97 ag 60 His son Thos Gee was a member of the Canty. Land Bd. and a vey successful shower of harness ponies . He sold his grazing Tin at Chariot to James Douglas of Waikari for F£1000 diiulio the slump of '21 , James bong as bought for his son Wm Augus who still (1960) owns it. It is now called Jed burgh. Thos. Gee marr. 7.5.02 Hattie dau. of E.R. Holton of Cheviot. T.J.
