Marks/Inscriptions: F. 311. frampton, George (1842- 1919) was born at Walton, Somerset and worked on his fathers farm till he left for N.Z. in the Capt. Cook which arrived at Lylt. 2.9.63. He had married in Eng. After a short time at Spreydon he bought 50 ac. at Brookside which he later increased to 175 ac. He called his farm Walton after his birthplace. He took no part in public affairs but was a steward and tinsley of the Wesleyan Church + a member of the Ellesmere A.+ Assoc. His farm was heavey swamp land an d he had to a lot of stumping. marr. in Eng. Elizabeth Lister Frampton . She d. 7.12.20 ag. 77. He d. Brookside 29.12.19 ag. 77. 18 eldest son Frederick marr. 17.5.88 Martha. 4' dau Henry Hight of Brookside at Wes. church Brookside. Frank George, 23, marr. 15.12.92 Jane Allen Brooks , 21 dau Thos Brooks Crossen + Ellen solo at Wes. Ch. Leeston. the Fea married Frampton s came out in Capt.
