Charles Ewenson /Eunson married Elizabeth Mainland. They came out to NZ as assisted immigrants from St Marys' of Shetland. They are my great-great grandparents. Their headstone is in good condition in the Old Leeston Cemetery. They had a large family and have a lot of descendants. One of their daughters, Jemima, married Alfred Smith Allen, a carpenter from London-Chingford-Middlesex. They are my great grandparents. My father knew the Fisse family well. I believe there is a monument to Carl Fisse in Leeston. Some of the Fisse descendants are the Benny family who still farm in the area. I have a photo of the Ewenson family when the children were just small. The Benny family have done a family history. and will know a lot more about the Ewenson's and their children. I will update this record with the children's names and voyage details.
