Marks/Inscriptions: F 68 Ekin , Mrs (1795- 1880) was universally known as Old Gannie" She lived at Spreydon and 3 days before her death she walked 4 miles into Ch.Ch. And 4 miles back again. She was a hake and hearty working woman and used to Walk miles to do a roa of washing. She had been married over 62 y ears and had out lived a son who had lately died in Eng. aged 60. Mt Ekin, aged 82, survived her. He was decrepit and shortly before she died she said she did hot how who would look after him when she was gone.
