Marks/Inscriptions: C. 56.5 4 Cooper, Edward (1836 -1906) was the son of the Rev. George Fort Cooper of Yet mister and Jane, dau. of Rev. Blakey Cooper, Recti of Lew combe and vicar of Yeti in ster . His father died and his mother brought out her family in the Clontarf arriving Jan. '59. (see Arthur Robt. cooper). Edward was nat in the pass. list but presumably he was with them. His mother marr. 28.5 Francis Jollie who had come out in the Clontarf with the Coopers. folles ok up Peel Forest. Edward cooper bought from the Crown 8. 19.4.59 R.S. 1239 of 158 ac bounded by Springs Road , Lincoln Rd and (what is new ) Amyes Road. Frederick Le Cren bought t 18.6.61 Lard it part became of a larger property owned R.M. Morten who sold to Edward Amyes Gibson marag ed for Jollie but Edward Cooper succeeded him. Jo he built his homestead , it was said , as far as possible from the working homestead because his wife disliked the sound of bleating sheep (Acland) . The working homestead was known as Creek Station and Edward Cooper lived there. LT. 26.3.66 says "Edward Cooper , Cree Station, Orari r purchase or hire, 50 well- ied rams His two sis terns lived with him until they married. on to Mollis L R.1M. and the other to n Slack. Frances Jolene died in '70 Upton S . with as aes and his widow in Dec. 72 at Collin s Hotel. Creek Station was leased to Acland: Ed.
