Marks/Inscriptions: . 471 Coleman, Edward Wright Maddock ( was a brother of Samuel Coleman of Riverside , Amberley and came firm Co. Car low. He was living in North Canty in the Early '60's and was a promoter of the Salt water Creek Navigation Co , Nov. 6 . He put his name down for the C.Y.C in Oct. 64 and was one of the Comm. which formed it. He bought the winning horse in the great Calcutta seep of Jan. 65. It was Lances Lady6und and he paid £170 for it; the winning prize was £678 .6. He also bought the second horse for L£ 55 which pard 169-11-6 and s0 he collected the whole pool He was lost in the wech of the Tremain.
