He arrived at Dunedin by the Bien an in , stayed there, then mood on to Oamaru. then to ChCh. He was for three years with Strange in charge of the Janey dept.. He then managed a business at Ross and returned to ChCh in '89. and wen t into part. with Toneycliffe. The i shop was ion the comer of Glos. and Colombo St. Where the Stare Theatre now stands. member St albans school comm. He was the son of jonathan Pearce Carey of Minister and Charlotte Reynolds.
