Marks/Inscriptions: B. 494 .Blackmore , Thomas Davy (1844-1930) was born in Plye outh , Devonshire the son of John Black in ore and came out in the castle Eden with his parents, arriving 7.2.51. He lived with his parents at Papanui and Ohoka and worked on difforent farms until he started for himself on Kaiapoi Island. He built himself a home and in creased his farme to 350 acres. He was a strong Prohibiting ist and was a member of a Temperance hodge for 30 years. marr. 30.11.75 to Fanny Stokes of Waikuku. He was presented to the Pounce of Wales when he visited N.Z. in 1920 a good philo graph exists of their talking together. 3 sons 4 daus. He d. 21.1.30 aged 85 ( bred Woodend Fanny d. 1.4.41 n Cem.
