Marks/Inscriptions: B. 430 Bing, Morice (1830 -78) was born in Hungary, was an officer in the Hin arian Army and fought under Rossuth in the war Inde pen dence 48 -49. He arrived in Aust. in 2 and came Over to N.Z. in '60. He worked at wool cassingham and then bought from the Church Property Trist2e s R.S. 325 of 200 ac which was for years hin own as Bin gland until J.J. Anderson made an a gita bur+ ane got the name changed to Richmond . He ran cattle on this block and sub let it and became a cattle dealer. He finally subdivided it into building sections. He was advertis ing 21/2 acre building sectioned fronting Stanmore Roald to let at £4 per acre with a purchasing Clause. He became a naturalised citizen of N.Z 2. June 71. marr. 15.9.63 at Wes. Chapel, by Rev. James Buller Ann Smith of Glos. Eng. 3 sons - 04 daus. He d. 21.1.78 aged 48 John Wm. educ X's Coll. 78- farmer d. 9.9.29. Robert Sydney. educ.
