They and their daus Ann, Mary, ; an d Findlay, inf. arrived by the David G. Fleming at Lylt. 9.12.63. John Bethune d. 21.10.71 and was burned at Geraldine, Find Cay Bethune was born in Sys and was educ. at Geraldine. hear hick his father had a Small sheep run. He was trained as a school teacher and was appointed whoa young man as headmaster O Pleasant valley Sch, near Geraldine He later taig ht at Marr akan , Carterton, Masterton and finally Jo neon ile where he was headmaster for 24 years. He was appointed to Newtown Sch. but died suddenly at Lyall Bay marr. 7.1.91 Mary dau of N. Dunlop of Geraldine. 25.12.21 aged 59. pass list. Re.
