He played for a Smith Canty. Football Ream V. Ch Ch May 75. He was appointed Registrar of B.D.+M and lacerations Inspector for Timaru June 76. He was appointed Chief Postmaster Timaru. Dec. 78: moved to West port Mag 81. He was presented with a purse of son regis when he left Timaru . He was postmaster at Gisborne. Oamaru , asst. Has tms er. Ch.Ch postmaster Palmerston North. He and his wife celebrated their golden wedding in 1923. He had been a prominent volunteer. in his young days he was a member of the Kaiapoi Coy. Canty. Rile Volunteers. At o amaru he did well at bowls. He d. 16.10.35. son Lance Corp Albert Edw ard died of sickness at Dai dalles 26.10.15 ged 21. marr. at St Marys Timaru by Rev. Geo.
