Marks/Inscriptions: A. 100 Allan, William (1841 ) was born in Renfrewshire Scotland and trained as a blacksmith and wheeler ht . In '62 he arrived at Port Chalmers by the Lady Egidia" and spent two years on the Otago gold fields. He worked in Dunedin and then had a dairy farm before he bought his blacks milling business in Waimate in '79 . When he lived in Renp ew shire he was for two years in the Renfrew Rifles. He took a great interest in the Presby. Church in Waimate and was an Elder. He was ore of the first directors of the Wairata Co-op . Soc. marr. in '65 a dau of James Seaton, a member of Parliament for Dunedin Peninsular. She came out in the Philip haig ' to Port Chalmers s in '48 Cyclop N.Z 1; Type of mark: Machine translation/Transcription; Notes: Machine translation by Mark Fryer
