Bowl and cover, with inverted cover to form additional small bowl, in which the handle becomes the foot: interior of both bowl and cover painted with central stylised red and green floral medallion and sprigs on green ground below rim border of yellow and white scrolling and flowerheads; the exteriors in frieze painted with 3 yellow and white Buddhas and 3 yellow, red, green and white Garuda-style figures on dark green ground with red fire (huo) symbols; recessed base of cover handle/foot is dark green with central multi-petal flower medallion in red and white.
