Description
Tea bowl, white ground, overdecorated in Holland in enamels with the so-called "Cherry Picker" pattern : scene of European man wearing gold coat, black breeches, red stockings, black shoes and broad-brimmed black hat, on a ladder picking fruit (usually thought to be apples or cherries, but are possibly oranges) - note rose flower on apple tree; 2 red blossom sprigs and lilac/pink roses; interior rim decoration of red feathery leaves and palmettes.
