Raos, Peter
Biography
Raos is a New Zealader who trained in Fine Arts and Design in the late 1970s at Auckland University. Along with fellow glass artist Peter Viesnik he set up "The Hot Glass Company" in an old general store on the waterfront in Devonport in 1979. In 1990 he set up his own hot glass studio at home and returned to university to obtain a masters' degree in Fine Arts with Honours, majoring in glass and design.
