Biography
The pottery at South Malvern was established by amateur geologist Edmund Ford and [?] Ogden in 1879, and within 10 years had become quite substantial. Thomas Condliffe (brother of Alfred, at the Springfield pottery) became manager there in 1886. The works were sold to C W Fisher & Co in 1889, and were eventually bought out by the Wigram Brothers and closed down. Presumably they mainly made industrial-type wares (chimney pots, pipes etc) and their only known domestic wares were of a practical nature – crocks and jars
