Biography
The Crown Crystal Glassworks at Hornby, were set up in 1950 by the Australian Glass Manufacturers Co (which had built a bottle works in Penrose, Auckland in the 1920s.) Crown Crystal was the only pressed and blown glassworks to make tableware in New Zealand. It survived until 1987.
