Description
Stoneware plate or shallow dish with foot; grey-green crackled glaze with swirled surface on front, darker olive rim and decoration in form of folded scarf or length of cloth with gold edges and blue, pink and pale yellow check pattern. Piece entitled "Nor'wester II" by potter. Incised mark H on base. Probably fired in LPG kiln - see autobiographical notes in catalogue for Annual Exhibition (1991) of Canterbury Potters Assn. (Rel.Doc.file).
