Medals: Polar Medal and Military Cross awarded to Tryggve Gran

Description
Two medals on a broach clip. On the left is a Military Cross and ribbon awarded in about November 1917 for Gran's (flying under the name Teddy Grant) actions in flying home a damaged RFC aircraft while he was injured. On the right is a Polar Medal and ribbon with the clasp reading Antarctic 1910-1913. Around the rim of the medal are the words SUB. LIEUT. T. GRAN, TERRA NOVA.
