Souvenir cover issued by the Government Life Insurance Department, New Zealand. Seven New Zealand Government Life Insurance Department Postage stamps are affixed to the envelope: half penny (Castlepoint), one penny (Taiaroa), two pence (Cape Palliser), three pence (Eddystone), four pence (Stephens Island), six pence (The Brothers), and one shilling (Cape Brett). Postmarked three times "CHRISTCHURCH N.Z 1 AU 47 9 AM'. The envelope is addressed to 'Verne Collins & Co Ltd., Box 316, Christchurch'.
