Description
First day cover of the New Zealand Health Stamps, 2/11/1936, printed with drawing of a child and the words 'Health stamps for health camps - Keep the healthy New Zealander healthy'. A one penny New Zealand Postage Health stamp titled 'Safeguard Health' is affixed to the envelope. The stamp sold for two pence, and the proceeds above postage were donated to children's health. Postmarked 'CHRISTCHURCH C.I. N.Z. 2.NO.36.1230PM' on the front of the envelope. It is addressed to 'Verne, Collins & Co. Ltd., Box 316, Christchurch'.
