Description
One page titled '-1865-71- The rose colour of the 4d was found to cause confusion with the 1d and it was decided to use a yellow ink. The plate was not cleaned properly and stamps from the first two or three sheets after the change, show traces of the rose ink on top of the yellow in places, particularly the corners. In addition to these "freaks" some sheets were printed with ink of a true orange-yellow shade. Watermark large star. Perf. 12 1/2.' The page has 11 objects affixed.
