Coin: England, Elizabeth I, 1558-1603. Silver sixpence, 1578. Obverse: ELIZABETH D.G. ANG. FR. ET. HI REGINA. Crowned head left, rose to right, mint mark = castle. Reverse: POSVI DEU ADIUTOREM MEU Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the legend, date 1578 above shield. Mint mark = plain cross.
