Book: Christchurch: A Nostalgic Tribute
One book entitled 'Christchurch: A Nostalgic Tribute' with colour photographs and text by Peter Morath.
Christchurch city was badly damaged during the 4 September 2010 and 22 February 2011 earthquakes and will change dramatically as rebuilding progresses. ‘Christchurch: A Nostalgic Tribute’ publishes a collection of photographs of Christchurch taken since 1970, representing a time-capsule of what the city looked like before the earthquakes altered the cityscape. This book records a retrospective look at the city including many scenes familiar to residents, such as New Regent Street, the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament and the Avon River, which have been dramatically altered. Some of the proceeds from this book have been donated to the Court Theatre to assist in their recovery post-earthquake.
