Brass plate with engraved name used for printing official signatures on documents when the signatory is unavailable. Also used to print names on business cards and visiting cards. Used by William Henry Henning in clerical duties for the Provincial government. With original paper cover made by Whitcombe & Tombs Ltd, Cashel Street Christchurch.
