Description
Royal Artillery Field Officer's sword and scabbard, c.1910, Henry Wilkinson manufacture. Blade decorated with foliate designs also lions rampant. The number 48722 on one side of the blade indicates that this sword was purchased by officer and not Army issue. Wilkinson's have record of private purchasers back to 1854. Scabbard of metal covered in brown leather with an attached frog strap.
