Description
Turkish Dress Dagger c. 1914. A V R Morten Collection. Scabbard has bad dent, otherwise in very good condition overall. An Arabic verse from the Koran is inscribed on the shoulder: "Allah will despatch the person to his destination". A verse from the Koran was often inscribed on a weapon as a talisman or charm to protect and help user in his time of need.
