Shamshir and sheath

Description
A shamshir sword and sheath.
Sword; Steel blade and ivory hilt. Blade is straight for a section and then begins to curve and tapers to a point at the tip. The blade is single edged and has two fullers (grooves) that begin at the start of the curvature. The width of the sword's back also tapers down the blade, and at the lower quarter makes quite a taper which produces a small ridge on the blade. Just above the fullers there is an engraving which seems to be a floral design. The hilt has cross guards and langets, but no knuckle bow. Above the cross guards there is a section of wire binding. The handle is made of two ivory sections riveted either side of an engraved metal section. After a hand's length the handle bends at a 90 degree angle and is capped by a metal section.
Sheath; Wooden interior, silver and leather exterior. The top of the sheath has a silver engraved section featuring floral designs. The middle of the sheath is covered by a leather section, which has wire decorations through its centre. The bottom half of the sheath has another silver section featuring floral designs. The sheath has a leather strap with buckle which is attached to the sheath by two rings.
