Description
Specially printed taffeta, circular skirt for rock n roll. D141 1950s (MRM).
Waistline: Waistband grey, averages 3.7cm wide, 4cm overlap at button, pointed end. Topstitching around waistband, several different grey cottons used. Natural. If the opening is placed at the centre back then there is a seam at both sides.
Skirt Shape: Full circle.
Seams: Machine sewn, light green cotton thread.
Edges: Selvedge.
Button: Grey plastic, 1.8cm wide, two hole.
Buttonhole: Poorly handcrafted blanket stitch in grey cotton thread.
If the zip goes to the back, then the bow situated at the back is in an area that has been altered about 11.5cm up from the hem is a horizontal machine stitching line approximately 47cm. I have no idea what it did! In the region of the front bow is a self patch about 15cm.
