Description
A Doulton cup and plate produced as souvenirs of the Canterbury Jubilee Exhibition, 1900. The cup has two portraits of William Reece and John Robert Godley with banners bearing their names and the dates 1900 & 1850, respectively. The cup's handle is trimmed with gold. The Doulton mark is on the base.
The plate has a gold trim around its edge and its central surface is decorated with the Exhibition buildings and a banner below is printed, "Canterbury Jubilee Exhibition 1900". The underside of the plate has the Doulton seal printed and impressed and carries the number, "3 190".
