Biography
Hadleigh House was built in 1904 for William Wood and Grace Anna Maria Wood (nee Wilson). The couple married in 1901. William was the son of W D Wood, a run holder who built the first windmill in Christchurch. Grace's family was connected with Wilson's Malt House of England. The house is named after William's family home in Suffolk.
