I have just stumbled across this photo, which brings back memories of my time at the "Artists Quarter" on Oxford Terrace Christchurch. Long closed now, it housed many talented art and craft people. I can't remember the specific dates these two pieces were made, but would guess around the early 80's. They would have been commissioned pieces for private homes. Made from heart rimu they were fairly typical of the furniture that we made at that time.
