Description
One black and white mounted photograph of John Murray and Ethelwyn Smith's wedding in Christchurch in June 1912. Among the guests are Kate Sheppard, standing fourth from the left in front, and several of Ethelwyn's Smith relations. Seated in front are: Eleanor Phoebe Smith next to the bride; Ethelwyn's mother Helen Smith, and Muriel Lovell-Smith. Behind them standing on Ethelwyn's left are her sister Phyllis Smith, William Sidney Lovell-Smith, James Thomas Macleodsmith, with Jennie Lovell-Smith standing in front of him. Standing in the doorway behind are sisters Eleanor and Lucy Smith. Roy and Colin Lovell-Smith are standing at the back, with Hubert Lovell-Smith standing extreme right with his daughter Hope. The child standing next to the bride is almost certainly the eldest daughter of Hubert and Muriel, Joan Lovell-Smith.
