Description
One colour negative depicting a portrait of fifteen men and one woman from a platoon at the Burnham Military Camp on a concrete court with buildings in the background. Five men and the woman sit in front, the rest stand behind them in two tiers, each holding an L1A1 rifle. The number 23 is written in the corner of the negative.

They aren’t holding guns. They are rifles, the L1A1 SLR to be exact. SLR stands for Self Loading Rifle.
