This vase was made in Lyttelton, not Pelorus Sound. David Ashleigh and Jim Roberts established their pottery in Lyttelton, selling from a small shop and studio in Oxford St (near the corner of London St) that later became the Information Centre. They lived at Charteris Bay. They also retailed finer porcelain/stoneware through Ballantynes in Christchurch. In the ?1990s they shifted north to Pelorus Sound. Check the original catalogue/database and the correct details will be there!
