Description
Salt-glazed stoneware teapot and lid with curved cane handle. Circular form with short funnel spout. Olive and cream salt-glaze with impressed "tear-drop" decorative band around body of pot. Double strap lugs front and back of centre opening for attachment of varnished cane/bamboo handle - handle attached with cream cane-covered wire. Lid has central knob, steam vent and is glazed yellow inside; slightly roughened under lip - 3 unglazed spots on lip of pot to hold lid. Interior glazed dark yellow-brown; pierced strainer at spout.
