Stoneware; 55 mm high dish with carrying lugs each side; grey interior glaze, mid-brown and cream exterior (cream in broad brush strokes); lid with large circular knob (44 mm diameter) with concave top (grey glaze), brown glaze with cream broad "X" brush strokes on top, grey underneath.
Impressed mark at base under lug: "CP". Potters Harry & May Davis (originally of Cornwall), Crewenna Pottery, Nelson.
