This is not a nail, nor is it galvanised, It is a file, you can see the grooves cut into the blade the tang on the end is for a wooden handle, Galvanising is a process to coal steel with zinc, to stop rusting. Is a softer metal and not appropriate to a file which needs to be harder than what you are filing
