A portion of an Alfred Meakin dinner service comprising six large plates, five medium plates, six small plates, two casserole dishes with lids, one gravy boat and three meat dishes of varying size. The pieces all have scalloped edges rimmed in gold and are decorated around the outside sections with a purple floral design. The bases are stamped, "Oakley.Alfred Meakin Ltd, England [around a crown]. F".
