Description
Fire grate which consists of front part which has grille and handle in front and is bent into part-hexagon shape.
440 mm wide x 150 mm high x 110 mm deep. Extra (broken) grille piece inside grille. Larger part is grilled, has 4 legs and fanned part on legs with rounded piece sticking up on one side; 405 mm wide x 150 mm high x 300 mm deep.
Rusty, coal-covered condition. Used in Director's Office of Canterbury Museum, late 19th century. Was painted red.
